I am running the 5k to support Pacing for Parkinson's, a campaign that raises awareness of and funds for Parkinson’s Disease research, community outreach, education, and patient care at Johns Hopkins. The Johns Hopkins Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center provides comprehensive, compassionate, and timely treatment to people living with Parkinson's and other movement disorders. Both of my parents have benefited from these services. My dad lived with Parkinson's for 15 years before passing away in 2017. My mom was diagnosed with Parkinson's 17 years ago.
